Amanda Brugel

(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on this part of the island of Montreal known as"the West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of different communities. Many who've never known about it may mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. But this is not true. Brugel grew up in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. In her early years she wanted to be professional performer, however an unexpected increase in her height made it difficult. She admitted in an article written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I grew out of male companions at that point, I gave up. Bruce was among the former dancers that turned into acting. Her high school teacher school was what pushed her to take the next step. Teacher who recommended she try to find a role in school's annual production. It was her choice to take on the main part of Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. The show was granted the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program which she completed in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Over the last 20 years, her work has been seen on both the large and small screen. Her work gained most fame when she was offered the character of Rita on the award-winning TV series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in Season 1 and was only seen at times.
