Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette Dezzara (born 28 February 1948 in Ozone Park Queens New York) is an acclaimed American actor, singer, and writer of children's stories. In her five decades of professional career, she has appeared in television and musicals and also in solo performances and recorded albums. She's one of Broadway's most well-known artists. She was nominated in seven Tony Awards (winning two), she also won 8 Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards went to four Broadway Cast Albums in which she was a part of. Peters began her stage career as a kid, then when she was a teenager, in the 1960s. Later in the 70s, she was acting in films and television. Early performances, including roles in The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show as well as on television, and in other projects were well-received. Also, she was praised for roles she played in films like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. She returned to Broadway in the 1980s, in which she was the most famous Broadway performer for the following thirty years. Peters has recorded a number of individual albums, albums of cast and singles. She performs in solo concerts regularly. Peters is also a regular performer in films and on television and has been awarded the award of three Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards which she has won at least once.
